Getting Started with SPAM Protection

(This guide will get most everyone started with SPAM protection for their email)

Log Into WebMail:

-Click on on our website (http://www.missvalley.com)
-Click on New Webmail
-Enter your Email username and password and click (Click here if don't know your username and password)
-If you are not presented with the options screen click on options at the top
-Click on Advanced Options
-Click on Server Spam Settings

You are now in the options for setting up basic SPAM proctection, proceed to STEP 2.

Choose your Smitespam rating:

-Click on the drop down box and change the setting where it says "Never Hold" and change it to a 3+
-Click save at the top right hand corner

Note: A setting of 3+ will hold just about all annoying SPAM messages, however it may catch some things that you want to receive, be sure to follow the procedure in STEP 3 to ensure you get all of the mail you want.

-Click Logout at the top right of the screen in your toolbar for WebMail.

Checking your Held Messages:

Every other day you should receive a message from the mail server entitled "Held Messages"

-Click the link given to you in the email message
-Enter your username and password just like you did to set up your spam protection
-Look through your list of held messages and put a checkmark beside the ones you want, and click "allow"
-Put a checkmark next to the ones you do not want and click "delete"
-Click Logout at the top right hand corner when finished

All email messages that you "allowed" during this step will now come through to your email.
