Macon Fire Department Training
Six of our seven firefighters currently hold the certification of Firefighter II.
Other certifications in the department include 4 Certified Fire Investigators, 2 Certified Instructors level II and 2 Certified Instructors level I.
Several Classes have been designed that are taught not only in our fire station but in the county as well and one has even been taught throughout the state (for more information see our fire prevention page). Some of our programs offer Law Enforcement CEU's that some of the smaller police departments in our area and the Sheriff's Department has taken advantage of.
All new fire fighters go through a 40 hour recruit class that includes 11 basic fire fighter topics. Information on this class can be obtained by contacting Captain Ross Dutton.

Training for March will be held on:

Training for April will be held on:
Tuesday, April 5th and will begin at 6:00 p.m.
Training for May will be held on:
Tuesday, May 3rd and will begin at 6:00 p.m.
Training for June will be held on:
Tuesday, June 7th and will begin at 6:00 p.m.
Training for July will be held on:
Tuesday, July 5th and will begin at 6:00 p.m.
Training for August will be held on:
Tuesday, August 2nd and will begin at 6:00 p.m.
Training for September will be held on:
Tuesday, September 6th and will begin at 6:00 p.m.
Training for October will be held on:
Tuesday, October 4th and will begin at 6:00 p.m.
Training for November will be held on:
Tuesday, November 1st and will begin at 6:00 p.m.
Training for December will be held on:
Tuesday, December 6th and will begin at 6:00 p.m.
Testing for Firefighter I and II will be held on Friday, July 1st.
We will meet at the Macon Fire Department at 8:00 am. The test will take place in Jefferson City at the Missouri
